Children & Family Ministries

Jesus, however, said, “Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom from heaven belongs to people like these.” Matthew 19:14

In Baptism, God claims us as His very own. With water and the Word we are declared forgiven children of God. The journey that begins in Baptism is built upon the promise of God’s unfailing love through Jesus Christ, our Lord. It is our desire at Trinity Lutheran to be partners with parents in ministry. We provide a variety of programs that help parents teach their children about the Bible, the love of God, and life long discipleship.

Children’s Ministry

Virtual Summer in the Son just wrapped up and we are grateful that 36 youth were able to participate with take home kits and video lessons this year! We are now working on a community art mosaic project. Youth and families are coloring pages at home that will then be assembled into one large community artwork piece, totaling 45 pages. We loved the idea of working on something together while we are apart. We will start assembling the large artwork in the beginning of August to share with everyone.

Sunday School

Children from 3 years -5th grade are welcome to join us for Sunday School! Sunday School at Trinity is a time for children to learn more about church, worship, faith, fellowship and scripture through music, engaging small group lessons, games, and art!

Join Trinity families as we kick off our Sunday School year focusing on faith formation at home! Our plan is as follows to start off our year:

September: Start Faith Formation at home with the Faith 5. We will mail out a Faith 5 bookmark and weekly verses along with a fun backpack/bag tag for each youth registered. We will also email a video with more details about how to do the Faith 5 at home with your family.

October/November: We will continue faith formation at home and will have a monthly Family Faith Kit to pick up with lessons, coloring sheets, and crafts to do each week with your family. We will share videos and other resources with families via email. A contactless pick up date/time at the end of September and October will be emailed to families.

Registration deadline is September 4th, 2020. You can return the registration form via mail, make an appt to drop it off at the church, or by emailing Sarah at skrosschell@trinitynorthbranch.org. We will keep updating families as things change this fall. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Families can join Sunday School at anytime throughout the year, the deadline helps us prepare our mailing and take home kits.
