Children & Family Ministries
Jesus, however, said, “Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom from heaven belongs to people like these.” Matthew 19:14
In Baptism, God claims us as His very own. With water and the Word we are declared forgiven children of God. The journey that begins in Baptism is built upon the promise of God’s unfailing love through Jesus Christ, our Lord. It is our desire at Trinity Lutheran to be partners with parents in ministry. We provide a variety of programs that help parents teach their children about the Bible, the love of God, and life long discipleship.
Children from 3 years -5th grade are welcome to join us for Sunday School! Sunday School at Trinity is a time for children to learn more about church, worship, faith, fellowship and scripture through music, engaging small group lessons, games, and art!
Back to Sunday School is just around the corner! Sunday School kick off will be Sunday, September 8, at 10 a.m. This Sunday is also Rally Day Sunday/”God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday so there is a lot going on at Trinity. Church will still be one service at 9 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 10 a.m. Students will meet their teachers and get a chance to help with a service project at our church (blessing bags, lunch packing, etc) Parents can also help with service projects at the church or there will be an off-site service project available as well. (More details on projects will be coming out soon.) There will be a potluck lunch to follow for everyone around 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Our Sunday School theme for 2019-2020 is “Living Out God’s Kingdom.” The lessons dive into many familiar Bible stories…and some lesser known Bible stories. We will resume our normal Sunday School schedule from 9:00-9:45 a.m., on Sunday, September 15.
Sunday school registrations and forms are now available on the table in the narthex or the link below. We are in need of a couple more Sunday School teachers as well. Feel free to reach out to Sarah Krosschell, Sunday School Coordinator, email@example.com or 651-674-7047 with any questions.

Summer in the Son
Summer in the Son was so much fun this year. We were blessed with 36 children, 18 youth leaders and a total of 8 adults involved in leading stations, driving, chaperoning and mentoring. It was such a gift to see the many generations come together and learn about God’s wildly wonderful Creation!!
This is for all incoming 3 year olds – incoming 6th graders.
A First Communion Class was held Thursday, April 18. This instruction is open to any and all people who have not yet received Communion. If you or your child/children would like to participate, forms are available below or in the office. Parents are invited to attend the class with their child or children.
Contact Julie or Pastor Jon with questions.
Baptisms at Trinity are held the 3rd Sunday of each month. Only three Baptisms are held at each worship service. Baptism class is held every other month. Sponsors (Godparents) and Grandparents are encouraged to attend the class. After completing the form, please return it to the church office. Baptisms will be scheduled as they come in. The church office will confirm your date and service time. Please review the Baptism brochure to understand what it means to have your child Baptized.
