Children & Family Ministries
Jesus, however, said, “Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom from heaven belongs to people like these.” Matthew 19:14
In Baptism, God claims us as His very own. With water and the Word we are declared forgiven children of God. The journey that begins in Baptism is built upon the promise of God’s unfailing love through Jesus Christ, our Lord. It is our desire at Trinity Lutheran to be partners with parents in ministry. We provide a variety of programs that help parents teach their children about the Bible, the love of God, and life long discipleship.
Children from 3 years -5th grade are welcome to join us for Sunday School! Sunday School at Trinity is a time for children to learn more about church, worship, faith, fellowship and scripture through music, engaging small group lessons, games, and art!
We are back to our usual routine and walking through stories of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. Our annual Souper Bowl Sunday collection has also begun and we are asking for cans and packets of soup to be brought in by February 2. Donations can be placed on the cart at Sunday School check in or in the narthex. Our goal is to collect 100 cans of soup to support the local food shelf. Sunday School and Trinity Families are invited to join our Hot Cocoa Luncheon on Sunday, February 2, from 11-12:30, in the fellowship hall. Sloppy Joe lunch will be served from 11-11:30 followed by hot cocoa bar and cute crafts for the kids. Come and have some fun while getting to know other families at our church. Save the date: Sunday School children will be singing songs at the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, March 1.

Summer in the Son
Summer in the Son was so much fun this year. We were blessed with 36 children, 18 youth leaders and a total of 8 adults involved in leading stations, driving, chaperoning and mentoring. It was such a gift to see the many generations come together and learn about God’s wildly wonderful Creation!!
This is for all incoming 3 year olds – incoming 6th graders.
A First Communion Class was held Wednesday, 11/27. This instruction is open to any and all people who have not yet received Communion. If you or your child/children would like to participate in a future class, forms are available below or in the office. Parents are invited to attend the class with their child or children.
Contact Julie or Pastor Jon with questions.
Baptisms at Trinity are held the 3rd Sunday of each month. Only three Baptisms are held at each worship service. Baptism class is held every other month. Sponsors (Godparents) and Grandparents are encouraged to attend the class. After completing the form, please return it to the church office. Baptisms will be scheduled as they come in. The church office will confirm your date and service time. Please review the Baptism brochure to understand what it means to have your child Baptized.
