Children & Family Ministries
Jesus, however, said, “Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away, because the kingdom from heaven belongs to people like these.” Matthew 19:14
In Baptism, God claims us as His very own. With water and the Word we are declared forgiven children of God. The journey that begins in Baptism is built upon the promise of God’s unfailing love through Jesus Christ, our Lord. It is our desire at Trinity Lutheran to be partners with parents in ministry. We provide a variety of programs that help parents teach their children about the Bible, the love of God, and life long discipleship.
Children from 3 years -5th grade are welcome to join us for Sunday School! Sunday School at Trinity is a time for children to learn more about church, worship, faith, fellowship and scripture through music, engaging small group lessons, games, and art!
March will be a wonderful month of hearing the sweet voices of our Sunday School children joining us at worship. We will sing on March 1, and begin preparing to sing again on April 5, for Palm Sunday. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Hot Cocoa Luncheon! We had many families and members join us for lunch and crafts and we hope to do this again next year. Our Sunday School children and congregation also collected almost 200 cans of soup for our Souper Bowl Sunday Collection so thank you for your donations! It is wonderful to see people of all ages so active in the life of our church and to feel the vibrant and positive energy of our church community. We are all beloved children of God!
Save the Date! Sunday School children will be singing at the 10:00 service on April 5, for Palm Sunday.

Summer in the Son
Summer in the Son was so much fun this year. We were blessed with 36 children, 18 youth leaders and a total of 8 adults involved in leading stations, driving, chaperoning and mentoring. It was such a gift to see the many generations come together and learn about God’s wildly wonderful Creation!!
This is for all incoming 3 year olds – incoming 6th graders.
A First Communion Class will be held Thursday, April 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This instruction is open to any and all people who have not yet received Communion. If you or your child/children would like to participate in this year’s class, forms are available in the office. Parents are invited to attend the class with their child or children. Those participating in the class will be invited to commune for the first time on Maundy Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 pm. Communion that night will be by table at the altar.
Contact Julie or Pastor Jon with questions.
Baptisms at Trinity are held the 3rd Sunday of each month. Only three Baptisms are held at each worship service. Baptism class is held every other month. Sponsors (Godparents) and Grandparents are encouraged to attend the class. After completing the form, please return it to the church office. Baptisms will be scheduled as they come in. The church office will confirm your date and service time. Please review the Baptism brochure to understand what it means to have your child Baptized.
